Mission Statement
The Anne Hopkins Scholarship Fund, Inc. d/b/a Anne Hopkins Foundation is a non-profit corporation in the state of Illinois founded to raise money in memory of Anne Marie
Hopkins of Chicago, Illinois and Batavia, Illinois and carry out the corporate mission as defined by the corporate charter.
Money raised from donors will be allocated towards operating expenses, fund-raising
programs and events, and to fulfill the corporate missions:
1) to grant academic scholarships to students who demonstrate a passion in their work, study, or hobbies to advance the rights and quality of life for people with disabilities in the spirit of the social model of disability; 2) to advocate to uphold the rights of people with disabilities or assist them in their quest for an improved quality of life in the spirit of the social model of disability;
3) to develop and implement programs, events, and resources that act to uphold the rights of people with disabilities or assist them in their quest for an improved quality of life in the spirit of the social model of disability;
4) to act as an educator on the rights of people with disability and the social model
of disability; and
5) to act in any fashion that would represent Anne Marie Hopkins and her altruism,
activism, and passion in her life's work in the disability community.
